CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
Pre-Pro Track
Designed for students ages 7-9 years old to help establish a strong foundation of ballet
technique. At this age, we focus on discipline and enhanced concentration. In addition to two ballet technique classes, we also offer a Pre Point Class, a Contemporary Class and a Combo Class
with this package.

Pro Track I
Designed for students around the age of 10, as a bridge from Pre-Pro to Pro Track II. Students are offered classes at both the Pre-Pro Level and Pro Track II Level, to
accelerate the development of the dancer.

Pro Track II
It is no secret in dance that practice makes perfect. For the serious young dancer or for someone who just really likes to dance, typically ages 9-12, this program offers up to 6.5 hours of training per week, at the unbeatable price of $250 per month (all hours are available to you but not required). The offered classes will consist of a multitude of ballet classes, a daily stretch/strength class, and other curriculums offered at HHB.

Pro Track III
This package is a great deal! It is designed for students around the age of 12, as a bridge from Pro Track II to Pro Track IV. The classes offered to this group at the Pro Track IV
level are crucial to the development of the dancer. At the unbeatable price of $285 a month for 11 hours, it includes all curriculums and faculty!

Pro Track IV
Offering 15 hours of training per week, this program will take any dancer to the next
level. At the unbeatable price of $335 per month, each dancer will have a daily stretch/strength class, a ballet class, and all of the dance curriculums offered at HHB. This program is a must for the aspiring professional.

Mini Ballet I
Designed for students ages 3-4 years old. A precursor to formal ballet instruction, this class uses exercises to stretch, strengthen, and encourage development. Students begin to learn French vocabulary, movement expression, and proper ballet etiquette in a fun and nurturing environment.

Mini Ballet II
Designed for students ages 5-6 years old. The beginning of formal ballet instruction, this class uses exercises to stretch, strengthen, and encourage development. In addition to floor and center work, students will spend a brief time at the ballet barre to begin to understand proper ballet technique in a fun and nurturing environment.

Stretch/Strength
This class is the heart of the HHB philosophy, that stretching and strengthening exercises are essential to reach your maximum potential.

Pre Pointe
Preparing students for the challenge of pointe shoes. Specific muscle groups are
targeted and there are a lot of strengthening exercises designed specifically to avoid
injury and prep you for the challenge of pointe shoes.

Recommended for students who have achieved adequate strength and understanding of
proper ballet technique.

Variations
Broadway Rep
Recommended for students seeking something outside of ballet. This class builds both technique and character. Character heels are required.

Contemporary
Recommended for all students to explore an expressive form of dance that combines
elements of several dance genres including modern, jazz, lyrical, and classical ballet.

Musical Theater Tap & Voice
Students will learn vocal warm-ups, proper vocal technique, a Broadway song and a chance to practice singing in a safe environment. Tap level will be determined by the
students' prior experience.

Combo I
Recommended for ages 3.5-K, ​this class will feature everything your young dancer needs
to get started: ballet, tap and acrobatics. In ballet, students will learn the basics of barre
work, steps and turns across the floor, and brief combinations in center. Tap will be
lots of fun; we will work on basic rhythms, foundational steps, and musicality. Acro will
focus on flexibility and strength, as well as gymnastics skills such as handstands,
cartwheels, and backbends.

Combo II
Recommended for first grade and up,​ the next step after completing Combo I, this class will feature everything your young dancer needs: ballet, tap and acrobatics. In ballet, students will learn the basics of barre work, steps and turns across the floor, and brief combinations in center. Tap will be lots of fun; we will work on basic rhythms,
foundational steps, and musicality. Acro will focus on flexibility and strength, as well as
gymnastics skills such as handstands, cartwheels, and backbends.

Pre-Pro Combo
Recommended for ages 7 and up, this class will introduce the fun of tap, jazz, and
tumbling. Perfect for kids who love to move, and want to explore different genres of
dance. Get ready to shuffle off to Buffalo in tap, learn the basics of classic and Broadway
jazz, and enjoy the fun of jumps, stretches and basic tumbling in acro.
