After dancing with The Pennsylvania Ballet where she performed roles both in the corps and as a soloist, our director joined The Phantom of the Opera Broadway National Tour. Elaine Matthews has taught master classes through The Broadway Connection in over ten major cities in the United States, including Los Angeles and New York City.
Her training includes: The School of American Ballet, American Ballet Theater, The Royal Academy of Dance, The Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, The Atlantic Theater School, and NYU's Tisch School of the Arts Dance Program.
Elaine Matthews is a faculty member at The Lewis Center at Princeton University and is a member of the national judges panel for Starbound National Talent Competition.
Elaine is married and often collaborates on projects with her husband, Broadway veteran, Sean MacLaughlin.
